About Me
Hi! I’m Kerry the founder and maker of ApotheKerry soap.
I’m a dreamer, a crafter, and a maker. I have a passion for gardening and living sustainably. I’m quiet and quirky, laugh at silly things and cry every time I shop for greeting cards.
An illness at the end of 2018 revealed an intolerance to many processed foods and chemicals that have become common in our lives. After hours of research; books, Google searches, and numerous trips to the naturopath, I quickly found that many of those products and chemicals are unnecessary and are actually doing more harm than good.
My research led to my current path. I strive to live as naturally and sustainably as possible. I made a conscious effort to rid my life of the harsh chemicals that we encounter on a daily basis.
In 2019, I decided to take the next step and try my hand making my own soaps and skincare products. Soap making is both a science and an art form. It was intimidating at first but I took a shot, started slow, and taught myself the craft.
When I’m not soaping you can find me in the garden (or planning next year's garden), spending time with my family, cooking delicious plant-based meals, and researching my next project. My biggest dream is to one day have a small farm that sustains our family’s food needs while contributing the botanicals I use in my soap and skincare products.
My soap is plant-based, cruelty-free and made from good stuff. It’s sustainably and ethically sourced, local and Canadian sourced whenever possible.
What does that mean for you?
Use any of my products and you can feel good inside and out knowing you made the right choice. You’ll step out of the shower or slide out of the bath feeling awesome.
